I've said that the TS515 is suitable for rowing on the sea but I'd never done it myself in this boat. So over the last week or two I took the boat to some familiar places to create this video so you can see what I mean.
First I went to Wallasey, where I was brought up on the Wirral. I would never have contemplated rowing on the sea in front of the promenade at New Brighton because I know just how savage it can be there. But since I learned how to sail in my 50s and gained an understanding of tides and wind I was able to choose a moment when the sea would be OK to scull on in the TS515. Unfortunately it was a grey day so the video is not inspiring but it did enable me to make an important point.
Sunsequently I launched the boat at Colwyn Bay (amusingly into breaking waves) to make another point.
Finally I took the boat to one of my favourite places, Beaumaris, on the Menai Straits. Enjoy the video and please share it with your friends.
Oh and buy one of these great little boats.
If you want to watch the Henley Video that I posted on July 7th it's here:

When young Mathew got out of the boat after this session his first question was, "When can I go out again?"
