Rowing over Chester weir

Recently I sculled over Chester weir! Yes really.

Check out this video.

You may have seen me do it before in a polyethylene Turbo II Classic.

But this time I did it in my racing boat, a WinTech SLW International.

This little winter adventure took me underneath the Old Dee Bridge, past Chester Univerity and Edgars Field, under the Grosvenor Bridge and past Chester Race Course, under the Railway Bridge, past Crane Bank Wharfe and the Kop before turning where Flookers Brook enters the River Dee and the New Cut begins.

You will also learn how to predict when it is possible to do this yourself.
