On my way back from Brittany I called on two young men with some spares for their yole. It turned out that they had just, last Saturday, rowed across the English Channel in their boat! Quite a feat, especially since before buying the boat they had absolutely no experience of rowing. This is quite a testament to the boat and to the two young men themselves. And they did it in a respectable time! They covered the 22 miles in about 5 & 1/4 hours.
They have promised to write a report for me which I will post on this blog.
