British Rowing has given approval for the sliding seat rowing boats that Ahoy-Boats has been selling into the recreational rowing market for 12 years as suitable for their Explore Rowing projects. These are specifically the French:
VirusBoats Yole,
VirusBoats Turbo II Classic,
and the more recently introduced and very successful Australian
Edon TS515 training scull.
Actually we were told that it was always possible for clubs to obtain funding for these boats under the scheme if they wanted to buy these models. But now it is clearer.
